I don't see any sort of blocking rating for the TEs, which is strange. Shaincoe behind Kleinsasser? Shows how highly he's thought of, eh? Shiancoe, to his credit, does have pretty good speed, "catch in traffic," and route running ratings, which could prove helpful. Allison and Williamson both have really good speed and acceleration, so the two of them (along with Rice) could probably be developed into a pretty good three-headed monster in dynasty mode. Seeing Rice on top of the chart is a bit surprising, but in terms of physical talent, it might be accurate. Thank goodness for the ability to adjust the depth chart. Yes.Troy Williamson, according to Madden 2008, is the Vikings' #4 WR. Interesting that they gave Taylor the lowest stamina rating of the four backs.even lower than Mewelde Moore, who was hurt all the time early in his career. All of the backs have pretty good speed and acceleration ratings, which bodes well. Taylor will enter the season as the starter, so he SHOULD be rated higher than AP. The fact that there's not a more significant gap between Bollinger and Thigpen surprises me, though. I don't know if it's good that there's not a significant gap between Jackson and Bollinger.if Jackson gets hurt, there's not much drop-off to the backup, I suppose. Jackson is rated higher than Bollinger in arm strength and speed, but Bollinger has higher awareness and accuracy. Well, this is pretty much to be expected, I think. If you want all the numbers.well, damn, the link is right there. I'll just stick to the "Overall" ratings. In this case, I say to hell with the other 31 teams.lets take a look at what the beloved Purple will look like this year. Except for me.I'll be at work.Īnyway, some of the player ratings have been leaked to various sources around this vast Interweb of ours. Workplace productivity will grind to a virtual halt as gamers everywhere call in sick on the 14th to stay at home and taunt people on XBox Live. In less than a week, the folks at EA Sports will unleash their latest version of the Madden NFL series on the public, including a midnight opening of the Gamestop in the humble little village of D'Iberville, MS. As a matter of fact, if you want to play franchise mode at all you have to unlock it, codes can be downloaded by googling.Well, folks, it's that time of year again. One last thing, if you want to play franchise mode online, you can't do it on the Wii. The hit stick is now a swing of the wiimote, and the qb can dodge with a nunchuk swipe (a little too touch at times). The kicking is fun, (by swinging wiimote). I don't mind the cartoonish look to the characters, the Wii isn't known for lifelike scenery anyway. Other than those issues, gameplay is great. Hopefully they will just fix that soon since EA can just make an adjustment to that without waiting for a new game to come out. It's not fair to those of us with integrity. Cheaters! If a person disconnects while you are winning or losing you both get a loss. Online play is awesome with one major exception. Also, the passing controls are a bit slower, and touchier, but if you really get the hang of it you can put much better touch on the passes. It is very slow do align your defensive backfield, linebackers, and line, especially in online format where the opponent often snaps the ball before you can adjust your defense. There are a few bugs that I think should be worked out in the next version. This game is awesome! Of coarse the Wii controls are much different than anything that you are used to if you haven't played on the Wii yet, but you do get used to it. "Road to the Super Bowl" lets you work together with friends to guide your favorite team through a 16-game season, while "Madden Showdown" is a four-player tournament mode with a choice of five-on-five or 11-on-11 games. Team up with a friend in the new "Huddle" co-op mode, which has the second player aiming a pointer to block, trip up a receiver, and contribute in other helpful ways. Returning from 2008's game is the ability to assign routes on offense simply by pointing the Wii Remote to different areas of the field, only now you can use it for your defense as well. Coaching your team can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be, with three levels of playbook settings. Once again the star attraction is the distinctive control scheme, which uses gesture-based motions for throwing, running, and catching. Stylized athletes feature exaggerated shoulders and other cartoon-like features, while "spotlight moments" take a cinematic approach to the action with dramatic camera angles and slow-motion movement emphasizing key plays. For its fourth appearance on Wii, Madden NFL 10 offers a revamped presentation and new modes of play.
